auto e-mails not being send to admin?

I have valid e-mail adress in "$admin_email=", and have "$emailadmin=1;"

But, no e-mails are getting sent.
E-mails to new registrations work perfectly, so I know e-mail cam be snt via the automated process.

Any ideas where I should look for the problem?

Steve

Did you check this thread before?
Did you check your spam / bulk folders?

Most likely your email server is blocking automated messages. Each server is configured differently. So each interprets spam mails on its own strategy.

You may try to specify another email address for admin, like the one coming from Gmail, so there could be a possibility to check all emails incl. those arriving to Spam and making sure the system works, overall.

Yep, checked everything.
Nothing in Spam folders, and everything else is configured as per instructions.
What I don't understand is the auto e-mails to users (registration info, etc) is sent fine.
It is just e-mails to Admin that do not get sent.

I'm sure its something I have done wrong, but just can't locate the error...

Still can't sort this... any other ideas I should look at?

As the auto e-mails to Users work (when registering for example) I guess the server is not blocking automated messages???
It's just the auto e-mails to Admin that don't work.

Really struggling now... any help really appreciated.

You must be sure your admin email is not blocking messages! That's all... most likely your admin account is blocking them, some others not.

It's not blocking messages...
I've now set "$emailadmposts=1;" and messages regarding new post do indeed get sent to Admin.

The only messages not getting to Admin are new user registrations.

I really can't work this out...

Two ideas:

1. If you're using a non-English version, make sure the email_admin_userregister_???.txt file exists in the /templates/ folder.

2. In bb_func_regusr.php test the following. Find this piece of code:

if ($emailadmin==1 and $genEmailDisable!=1) {
$emailMsg=ParseTpl(makeUp('email_admin_userregister_'.$langOrig));
$sub=explode('SUBJECT>>', $emailMsg); $sub=explode('<<', $sub[1]); $emailMsg=trim($sub[1]); $sub=$sub[0];
sendMail($admin_email, $sub, $emailMsg, ${$dbUserSheme['user_email'][2]}, $reply_to_email);
}
and change the sendMail function to:

sendMail($admin_email, $sub, $emailMsg, $admin_email, $reply_to_email);

It could be spam issue that may be resolved by the change above.
