On the previous version of minibb I had the sort by was on the last discussions and topics within a forum. How can I implement this again on the latest version?

Fixed. Took the code out of the old forum topics template and it works on the new.

I'm not sure what kind of version do you have, but this option is present in the newer official miniBB version, too.
