Where in the template there is user nickname?

Hello all,

I am trying to add user ranking with the addon and I am stuck. I have followed the readme and inserted all the code except for the last step:

***** Add in templates/main_posts_cell.html (under user nickname):

{$userInfo_num_posts[$poster_id]}

Question is - Where is user nickname? I cannot find it in main_posts_cell.html. Below is the code from main_posts_cell.html :

<tr valign="top" class="{$bg}">
<td class="caption1">
<a name="msg{$cols[6]}" href="JavaScript:paste_strinL('{$posterNameJs}',2)">
<span class="username">{$posterName}</span>
</a>
<br />
<span class="txtSm">{$viewReg}</span>
</td>
<td class="caption1">
<span class="txtSm">
<a href="#msg{$cols[6]}">#</a> {$l_posted}: {$postDate}{$editedBy}{$viewIP}
<br />
{$eachReply}<script type="text/javascript">getQuotation();</script>{$allowed}
</span>
<br /><br />{$posterText}{$deleteBox}<br /><br />
</td>
</tr>

Where exactly would I insert this? I have tried different places but the user ranking is still nt working so I guess I am going something wrong.

Any help woudl be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I think {posterName} is the nickname. I would try this:

<tr valign="top" class="{$bg}">
<td class="caption1">
<a name="msg{$cols[6]}" href="JavaScript:paste_strinL('{$posterNameJs}',2)">
<span class="username">{$posterName}</span>
</a>
{$userInfo_num_posts[$poster_id]}
<br />
<span class="txtSm">{$viewReg}</span>
</td>
<td class="caption1">
<span class="txtSm">
<a href="#msg{$cols[6]}">#</a> {$l_posted}: {$postDate}{$editedBy}{$viewIP}
<br />
{$eachReply}<script type="text/javascript">getQuotation();</script>{$allowed}
</span>
<br /><br />{$posterText}{$deleteBox}<br /><br />
</td>
</tr>

I'm almost sure you're doing something wrong in another place. For example, if $userInfoInPosts array in setup_options.php is not specified correctly or is commented, ranking will not appear of course.

Thanks Tom322..I tried that but it's still not working.

Team - Thanks for the info. This is what I have for that option:

$enableViews=TRUE;
//$userInfoInPosts=array($dbUserSheme['num_posts'][1]);
//$userDeleteMsgs=1;

Is this the problem? If so, how should it read?

Thanks again for the info!

As Team mentioned, I think you must uncomment (meaning remove the two slashes // from setup_options), so it should be:

$enableViews=TRUE;
$userInfoInPosts=array($dbUserSheme['num_posts'][1]);
//$userDeleteMsgs=1;

I would be happy if all our users know it at last. 50% of not-working stuff comes because people are not able to read manual carefully.

Hi!
Thx for minibb! I have a question. I have "Custom Rankings solution" in my forum, but the rank doesn't appear in administrator... What I have to do, it works?
Thanks

I think the string which lists

elseif($GLOBALS['cols'][0]!=1 and !isset($GLOBALS['userRanks'][$GLOBALS['cols'][0]])){

should then be changed to

elseif(!isset($GLOBALS['userRanks'][$GLOBALS['cols'][0]
])){

For sure you can... just modify the output so it returns not only $rank but also $val. For example:

return '<span class=txtSm>'.$rank.'<br />'.$val.'</span>';
