BB codes in topic titles?

how to make the title of the topic eg. bold or italic please?

You can change it in a template main_posts.html by adding <b> or <i> tags in the proper place.

If you mean - could you use BB codes for topic titles - the answer is NO. It is not allowed in miniBB, and some core modifications are needed to achieve that.

We're not supporting such approach btw... Allowing users to use bold or italic in topic titles will bring you unsurprisingly bad results - for example, some day in your topics listing all topic titles will be bold, 'cause every user as usually thinks his topic is important and that way will attract everybody's attention to it...

Paul, I want to make the topic bold as an admin, just to emphasize certain topics like "READ THIS FIRST", "IMPORTANT", etc.

BB codes can not be used for topic titles.
