Navigation link in a different template

Hello

I'm trying to put the navigation links (ie Forums, New topic, etc) into a different template so that it shows somewhere other than under the header.

I've copied the code from the header and placed it a different template:
<b>{$l_menu[0]}{$l_menu[7]}{$l_menu[3]}{$l_menu[2]}{$l_menu[1]}<!--{$l _menu[4]}-->{$l_menu[5]}{$l_menu[6]}</b>

But it only prints out the words not the links.

I know I need to do some sort of parsing but I'm not very clear on how to make it work.

Thanks for any help.

Links are parsed via the function load_header() (bb_functions.php). So, probably you need to call this function in the script.
