hi, i like to know how to change the time settings for my minibb forum. i currently reside in a +1 GMT area but cant really tell what time it is on my forum probably -9 or so, please where and how can i change the time setting?

If you use the Show Timezone as a example — or other helpful hints in posts ;-)

It would be best solution to set the time on the physical server so it corresponds to your local time.
If it's impossible, take a look at the $timeDiff setting of setup_options.php.

is commented to $timeDiff=21600; please what value do i change it to as i want to get the time to +1 GMT, thanks

1 hour = 3600 seconds (60 min x 60 sec.).

Hi Paul, i figured it out +1 GMT is equal to $timeDiff=21600;

21600 seconds = 6 hours. This is what I definitely know.
1 hour = 3600 seconds.

But if it works for you, then it's nice.
Probably some confusion of determining the time zone on your end ;-)

An interesting solution to the problem, my friend tried to solve a similar problem in his student years and we didn't think of it
