Awesome board, but I had to ditch it because it had no upgrade script. Without an upgrade script, the board is immensely difficult to maintain.

... reported an error - it only means you are incorrectly updating database structure from oldest version to the newest. Of course, you don't need to ADD columns which are already in database. Read upgrade manual more carefully.

... I got no {$l_sepr} at the end of the menu, but I don't mind cause there is only 1 person who will notice; the admin. It saves me from modifications in the big index.php, which makes it easier to upgrade my miniBB to a new version. _Marco

Don't care about that errors - that means you are upgrading somewhere from intermediate subversion and already have these fields. This upgrade is for all users beginning from version 1.x - just ignore this, if mysql does not...

If $dbUserSheme is not here, you are probably using oldest version of miniBB (1.x). You need to upgrade to the latest version, else new field could be added only rewriting core files, which, I guess, is not that you want.

My Site Host included an older version as part of the c-panel's fantastico feature of free scripts. Of course, since then, I've upgraded and am now using the latest 4a. Upgrades have been effortless, even though I've added lots of things. Keep up the great work. Best forum around! :)

I had purchased a template for 1.7 and hesitated to make the change to 2.0 and lose it. But, I finally decided to upgrade, when I started a new forum and I'm so glad I did. The add-ons and features are wonderful and went on seamlessly. Thank you for a wonderful and intuitive product.
