... was much smaller, faster, and less bulky than the more full-featured alternatives, and it was MUCH more customizable. Within about 4 hours' time, I was able to customize the heck out of it and integrate it into the overall look and feel of my site. Very nice!

... put a password in place before a user can even see the forums. The site responds extremely quickly, which is a good thing, as some of us are behind extremely slow connections. We have even managed to integrate our other content into miniBB, making miniBB the central hub of our site. Once again, thanks.

sorry for my harsh words :-( - it was my first reaction when looking at the code and getting it integrated in another project. it's true that minibb is one of the better bbs' - otherwise i wouldn't try to use it ;-). though i still think the code should be cleaned up a bit...

169. Posted: 23 Oct 2003 00:14 - FAQ / Unusual admin logon problem
... created the database tables using the _install.php script, and all went well. I created a single forum for testing purposes, then proceeded to spend the next several days modifying the templates and CSS to integrate with my site. When I attempted to login as Admin, to add the remaining forums, I could not! It seems to recognize the password, but it won't log me in. That is, if I use a purposely...

... roles-based access are built into our Smarty templates...which is a convenient and easily extensible way to manage these things. MiniBB is just a small feature of our overall system and I would like it to be integrated into the rules for everything else. Finally, performance is not a major criteria for our project (an intranet management system). Nevertheless, Smarty performs very well, particularly...
