... edit bb_default_style.css, providing your own colors/fonts, or rename it something, let's say bb_new_style.css, set $skin='new'; under setup_options.php and you could work with different skins separately.

hellraser, skins in miniBB are in most cases installed simply by putting templates into a folder called templates. That's basically as simple as that. :-)

If you are about the skin from 2010, this thread and almost all skins presented there, are left for historical archiving only and mostly all of them need to be adjusted to the newest layout of miniBB, since they could miss lots of new classes, or otherwise...

craigibhoy: i don't have a login feature on my forum i do have a register link, so i tried with a new forum theme i downloaded from here but still no luckForum themes or possibly "skins" can not related at all to the login's appearance. Register link always should appear at the top menu of all forums, not depending on what kind of skin you have installed. Re-installation...

... version, is the templates/layout set. If you want to use the older layout, most preferably you should take the older set of templates. We have it available on miniBB demo server - if you choose "Test Skins" icon in the top right corner, then select "Basic" skin, you will see the older set of templates and the old-school layout is loaded on. SO - you will need these templates...
