How to ban IP range

Hello,

I'm trying to ban IP range, but still the same person/persons (my guess) are flooding my forums.

I've banned: 85.206.+.

but I still see lot of unvanted post from 85.206.***.***

So, does "mask" bans work? How to solve this problem?
I have minibb v2.0, but not the latest realase.

85.206.+ - that's what you need to specify. No dot at the end.
