How to apply cookie for sub-domain?

If I have:
- example.com
- my.example.com
- example.com/mylove
and install miniBB at example.com.
How do I do to apply miniBB's cookie to all above domain?
(when loggin, if $_COOKIE['abc'] is set at example.com, it also set at my.example.com)
Please help me!

Which way did you solve it?

I suppose setting '.example.com' as the domain may help (note the dot on the front).
