How do i allow all users to edit their own posts? As it stands now, it seems that only moderators can edit posts.

Only registered users can edit their posts, plus moderators and admin. It seems you are talking about user who has typen his nickname, but still is unregistered. He's recognized as Anonymous user then. Anonymous users are unable to edit their posts.
