Is it possible for the forum to prevent counting the admin and/or mods viewing the thread under 'Views' count?

It would be possible, but only if you modify the core file, bb_func_vthread.php.

Here's the line you may change:

$topic_views=$topicData[7]+1;

change to

if($user_id==1 or $isMod==1) $topic_views=$topicData[7]; else $topic_views=$topicData[7]+1;
