How can I set DESC is the DEFAULT ordering of posts??

It would be cumbersome to edit $themeDesc Array... for every new posts and the array will be long..

Option called $customTopicSort - but trust me, it's a bad idea.

Does not work...

$customTopicSort=array(
7=>array('post_id DESC', 'New Post')
);

It seems that $themeDesc is the only way... by setting in advance...

$themeDesc=array(1,2,3,4,5, .... BLAH, BLAH, ... ,46,47,48,49,50);

Well, do you mean ordering on which page? $customTopicSort gives you possibility to order list of TOPICS, but $themeDesc just reverses ordering of the MESSAGES inside each topic.

If you want all messages sorted in reverse order, just put this in bb_plugins.php:

if($topic!=0) $themeDesc[]=$topic;

One question... though...

If topics get to 1000 or even 10,000....

It will slow down the forum... considerably??

Messages are sorted by post_id field which is very well indexed and should not affect the speed of forum overall.
