A little update came officially today for the
free solutions of
YouTube and
Vimeo service codes, as followed by the
bug claimed recently.
Actually, the only update is that now all codes do not have 'http' addition by default, but following the original embedding strategies from youtube.com or vimeo.com, i.e. providing only '//' in front of the embedded video's URL.
This is truly useful for websites switching from
http to
https, and actually this approach doesn't depend, if the video is being embedded from the secured protocol or not.
Those miniBB owners running their forums on a regular 'http' domain and never wanting to switch to 'https' would probably not need to take care about this update. However, as usually, we always recommend to stay in touch with all miniBB updates; the further is up to you :) Enjoy.
