This solution forces all users to enter their nickname in post. Users don't have to register or login to post a message, but they're not allowed to post as anonymous either. Something should be entered in the username field or else an error message will pop up.

you have some invalid code in your post form:

return.checkIt();

should be return checkIt(); instead

Thank you, it works now!

One more question:
How can I include the text that you have under " Only registered users can post here. Enter your login/password before posting a message, or register first."?

I have included some text, but it also appears for registered users, but I would like it to only appear in one (open) forum and only for unregistered users.

I can't find this variable in my language pack. What's the syntax?

Be sure to have the 2.0 RC5 version of miniBB.
This variable was added with RC5.

Edit: On topic: the message for username required is within the Javascript code and not in the languagefile.
