Integrate miniBB Recent Topics into another site

Is it possible to have the recent topics of a miniBB site displayed on another page/site? Basically I have a website with miniBB installed in a sub directory and would like to have recent topics displayed on the front page. I guess this isn't easily done but you never know.

It could be done customizing First Page News plug-in.
