How do I make the topics align on the right next to the recent discussions

Like in the front of this demo community here, it is a layout I want to emulate. How can I go about doing this?

For everybody liking to achieve the same - study our main page presentation :-) You need to set up

$startPageModern=TRUE;

under your setup_options.php file (but this will work only for miniBB 2.1 and later).
