Hi Paul,

Is there a way to use facebook images within MiniBB?
Often, when you right click on a Facebook image via Firefox and select 'Show Image' the URL is not a direct .jpg URL, but it still shows just the image.

Such as:

https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/q83/p417x417/10577149_10152684974334878_1509889681993764 131_n.jpg?oh=8419333668b6113c1611389b2f185743&oe=5483CC03&__gda__=1422109168_9f1e3d6abc92b0ed8b1aaf2d390518be

This is just the image, but the URL doesn't meet MiniBB's requirements.
Is it possible to change that so the image can be used?

Steve

You may change the rule in bb_codes.php, removing .(gif|jpg|jpeg|png) pattern for [imgs] and [img] parts, but then the codes insertion will become absolutely insecure. All normal images must end with their extensions; that rule was introduced because of security terms. Basically, I think, re-copying images like this is a bit out of website rules. In a timely term, they also could change this address and make it unavailable, it looks like a temporary cache or something like this.

There's another, more convenient way of storing such images: copy the image itself on the disk, then re-upload it on forum, using either File Bank either File Upload add-ons. Storing images locally is better in all terms.
