Your question seems so simple that I almost do not dare me to write a response.

Sure, Users can integrated images in the posts. And in miniBB is already installed via BB Codes.

Place in your post:
[img=http://url_to_your_picture]Description for the picture[/img]
Or click on the button above the window for entering text. Here in the forum is it e.g the 3rd Button from the right, with a camera icon.

With Files and Images Attachments, an premium addon for minibb :) ... but then you have many more questions 8) - I think it is better you work to first with the basic-version from minibb, and trying to understand it better. So anyway, i got it done early.

how to add a video to post?
Read here for YouTube BB code and here for Vimeo BB code.

and one more thing not clear: I insert in post a URL to picture and include this into BB code for URL external.
The external URL is not functioning :(
it's part of post:

At the first, make your link, and then put your picture in the link

[url=your_link][img=your_picture[/img][/url]
See in bb_codes.php ... you found

$GLOBALS['imgsWidth']=150; //static width for shrinking images
Play with this :) And look at how work BB codes! Paul created you but surely the appropriate code for you .. and more, see here :)

Is there a way to set images to their original size?

Have you ever tested it?

There is always a way, the question is whether it is your :) You can in bb_codes your own bb_code create, for each of you desired image format. Or you use HTML-code in your posts ...

In your example you use an image link that is located on an external server. In these images you have no control, especially in Affililate partners. Suddenly, change this or be shut down. If you have then distributed them a lot in the forum .. much fun with the extra work.

In my forum i use pictures on bbcode-basis and over the file bank. For users the File Bank is also active, the file upload and the photo album. And everything is under my control. But since everyone has different ideas ...

I had changed it to $GLOBALS['imgsWidth']=450; but, no changes are visible.

The setting is valid for all NEW pictures after setting this change. The older image is already stored with the older image settings in the database. Look in the db-table xxx_posts.

After you have changed the settings go to the old post and edit without changing anything then click the edit button! And now? :)
