prob is, some of my users are dislectic and screw up, the bbcode, or sentences - because the [a link="aofajrfpejrijpajdfjafjndfaljfdfaf"][img="dasfiajsfapifjafdkjadfj a;dfj"][/a]
thingys will make it even harder to read (and check) the text. therefor, im rather enable them to see excatly what they are doing, SO am trying to see wich of RTE and Widge - suites better, - to finaly get - a few buttons.

Bold, italic, underligned, (lists if already present), - add link - add immage,
and 3 dropdown menu's Size, Fone and Color

but still rather buisy with other stuf.. - so not sure if and when ill get it workin....

So, is their text full of BB codes? I would ban such kind of users.

Text must be text, easy to read and understand. That's one of the concepts of our board.

If you are busy - we are even more busy! So this stuff is not our priority now.

Like regarding any kind of such editors, it has few missing points:

1) Automatic quotation is not working
2) If you would like to install Smilies or Preview addons (or any kind of the addon which is tied up to the message form), it won't be so simple and maybe even impossible to use them right way.

1) Automatic quotation is not working
What there is a "Automatic quotation"? Link Quote in Posts_Cell perfectly works for me in MacOSX's Firefox and Safari.

2) If you would like to install Smilies...
Easy modification addon code (another javascript call) or plugin for SPAW.

...or Preview addons...Preview addon for wysiwyg-editor? It's self-preview.

(or any kind of the addon which is tied up to the message form), it won't be so simple and maybe even impossible to use them right way. May be.

True, it works in Firefox for me too. But doesn't work in Internet Explorer.

I would be pleased to see how it works :-) None of the WYSIWYG editors until that provided "easy" method for this.

Ok, agree. But what about, let's say Polls button which is installed regularly above the message area... or file upload fields... could this form be an octet-stream type?

Oops, I shall correct then later.

90% of work -- create smile buttons :)

Will not work :(

or file upload fields...

integrate in spaw editor, disabled by me.

Ok I've posted the test message and as you see none of the formatting works.

With the file upload fields - they should be associated with the same form which holds the message, else it will be impossible to use such add-on.

As you see, simply putting the code for such editor is easy... but it's not that easy to implement it in the miniBB's usability style.

Ok! The basic form seems to work fine now in IE.

Which way are you handling processing of all the HTML attributes? Are there special BB codes or...? So far I know miniBB should not support direct HTML tags.

Filtered (only used by the spaw-editor) direct HTML-tags.

Your previous problem was from for the filter, I did not think, that firefox and IE tags differ.

The problem with quoting in IE while remains

Solution #1 (spaw plugin) work in my forum (only one smile, it is necessary to draw other buttons)

Solution #2 (minibb add-on) Will be later...
