email a copy of new user registration password to admin?

Hello all,

Is it possible to send a copy of the same email that is sent to new user's with their username and email upon signup to the admin email address? I don't necessarily want all new posts and topics emailed to myself...just new user sign-ups with their password.

I am having problems with users not getting their registration email becasue their ISP is blocking it as spam and thought it would be easy to just forward the copy sent to me back to them.

I read through the manual and cannot find anything on this. Maybe I missed it?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe you shall make this combination?

$emailadmin=1
$emailadmposts=0;

(But I don't know. Just from the manual :-))

Thanks for the quick reply!

I actually tried that but that is not exactly what I was looking for. I would like to be emailed a "carbon copy" of the email that is sent to the new user including their password. Setting this parameter ($emailadmin=1) only sends me a notification that a new user signed up. It does not include the pasword that was sent to them.

Is this possible?

Thanks again for the help!

Besides combination, I guess if you modify templates/email_admin_userregister_eng.txt (or with whatever language prefix) and paste here the string like

Password: {$passwd}

it could work... miniBB does not include this by default, because you should carry about user's privacy, like we do.

Ok...that is exactly what I wanted. I do care about user's privacy and I am not seeing anyone's personal password, only the "auto generated" password. I am not even looking at them unless someone did not receive the registration email.

Actually I copied the contents of the "email_user_register_eng.txt" file to the "email_admin_userregister_eng.txt" file and achieve the carbon copy that I wanted.

Again, I am only using these to re-forward to someone who's ISP blocked the original email as "spam" so I don't have to go in, delete their account and then have them re-sign up. Saves time on both ends.

Thanks for the GREAT support and have a GREAT day!
