Quote makes Italic

if I press the quote hyperlink I get the message: "Please, select some text first.
when I do that it pastes that text in de textarea for new messages en sets italic tags arround it

I even have that problem here

Where should i search the sollution?

It's is not a problem, it's is a feature :) This is exactly the way this function works: you write your text with normal font, the quotations are in italc. It's made this way absolutely intentionally.
