Which way the Quote function works??

Could someone please tell me the function of "Quote" that appears under every post? What does it do?

If you are using some special browsers (IE 5.5 is one of them)you kan mark some text in the message and click Quote, then it is put in your answer.

I find it a nice idea and would love if it was working in my Opera.

Please read the manual.
